Aftermarket seats and harnasses

Ok, I have decided to take the car to the next level for track, and I want seats with that hold me into place more than stock S1 seats.


I am looking at Bride (yes I know fance and expensive stuff) Gias Low max. Now since I cant leave them in for MOT, I would have to switch to stock for that purpose alone. But what to do with the airbag in the seat? Just put a airbag canceller in and be done with it? Because I have read something on the Rx8club forum that kind of disturbs me. Something with the rear doors and stuff like that which I dont even come close to understanding.

All I want is to put in some nice aftermarket seats and harnasses with the ability to go back to stock in case of MOT.

Just buy some frp sparco seats and save a ton of money. Waste the money you save on trackdays, pussy and beer.
Turning the airbag warning light off with a resistor is a fairly easy job. Here's a drawing:

So I dont have to keep in mind the things Jeff (MazdaManiac) said in that thread? Something about the back doors not locking? So just put the airbag canceler in and be done with it.

And yes I know the seats are expensive. But I might go for full bucket seats instead of reclining, if I can test them first. I dont know if they are any good on long trips. It takes me close to 2 and a half hour to get to the Ring.

Bucket seats are awesome on long trips.
What I remember is that the doors didn't close WITHOUT the resistor in place

I dont really understand the picture Will any airbag canceler do the trick? Or do I need something specific?


I am going to test sit in a few seats before I decide to buy. Will be something for next season tho, I only got a few months left before the dreadfull MOT comes in to play again. And I wanted the flywheel and 4.77 gearing first.
