Hey everyone!
I wanted to apologize first to Giorgo and the staff of RotaryHeaven for not being around here as much as I should. There has been A LOT going on within the last year to the point where it seemed like I only had enough time to sleep, eat and work. Thankfully though time has been in much greater supply so I'll be doing my best to maintain a presence here for Black Halo Racing. That means, with some luck, being able to keep you guys up to date on what is going on here in the States and all the cool stuff we are working on.
So what has been going on!?
The simple answer is a lot! We grew out of our old shop and moved into a new location with much better surroundings and a lot more room to work. The new location also has a great waiting room location so we can have a more friendly atmosphere for people to hang out in as well as a dedicated engine build room. It is a good thing too because Charles is buried in engine build work!
The shop work has been taking some time away from product development but we've had some exciting projects coming through the shop as of late. We've already performed a turbo kit installation on an RX8 brought in from California as well as various work we have done for our local RX8 owners. At the moment we have a custom RX-7 FD project that is being worked on which should be making somewhere in the 500whp range once it is finished. Fantastic looking car!
We wrapped up what seemed like a year long engine rebuild and revamp project on my own RX8. The rebuild and installation was done at my apartment in Chandler since we were in the process of moving shops when my engine decided it was time to retire.
In the mean time, I had to scratch the track itch so I started driving my new Mazda2 (Demio for everyone else) on the race track! I fully expected that car to be slow, boring and overall dull. It actually is a lot of fun and I've been purchasing parts to make it a dedicated track car.
So that's the last 12 months more or less in a few sentences. I'll be doing my very best to stay active over here and keep everyone informed of what new stuff is coming out! In the mean time, keep rev'ing!
