Here are a few pics of how she looked a while back. She is currently stranded with a broken tranny (again)! She is running a 13 B peripheral port with 52 MM Weber IDA and a breakerless distributor. The rest of the drivetrain is still bone stock due to lack of money and the complete lack of sponsorship oppertuniteis in SA! My quickest time i've done on the 400M blacktop is a dead 14 with street tires, with no limited slip diff in play and a final drive of 3.9 (stock). The list of mods planned are as follows (if and when the finances allow it!) 1. S 5 turbo tranny 2. LS Diff with 4.5 or4.8 final drive 3. Some propper semi slicks 4. LT 10S with 55mm throttle body 5. New 5 link suspension along with lower ride height. Thats about it, she aint much, but she is my pride and joy!

    Wonderful car!
I have a stock 4.44 rx8 ring and pinion that i could give out for little money when you're ready to finish the project. The problem with living in SA must be shipping costs as well...

Thanks guys, kind words. Makes me want to go and work on the car right now! Shipping we can arrange bse, problem is the rx 8 stuff will unfortunately not fit in the 2, the 2 still uses a sollid borg warner rear end. Thanks anyway. Do any of you guys have old school rotors over there?

I have a couple of disassembled renesis engines, i don't think you would like to machining required to accurately retro-fit 10:1 compression rotors in a 13b though
It can be done but i'm not sure how much of a direct swap that would be. directly dropping a renesis in there would be cool though but the engine management would be pretty expensive
With a good budget you could build a reliable 230 or so whp peripheral port 13b, the peaky nature of the power curve of a PP engine is ok for drag racing!
Besides that there's another member from SA here, his nickname is Riaan. He has some problem with his racecar at the moment, you may want to join forces for some cool projects!

Thanks man, the rx8 rotors are pretty much a direct swap, only need machining for proper apex seals and we leave out the third oil control ring. Let me know what you want for the spares, especialy those e-shafts and stat gears!

    That's a beast of a motor!
I may have a couple of unworn e-shafts and stationary gears. The rotors are pretty heavy so they may end up being very expensive to ship. I'll let you know more on the parts as soon as i get a clue on their conditions. I still have to tear the engines they're in apart

No problem on the heavy rotors, just come and watch Italy in the world cup over here in June/July and put them in your luggage!
